Eee Bot Robot Asus with Android
Manufacturer popular netbooks, Asustek will develop Eee Bot, Robot Asus with Android. Making a robot named Eee Bot that cost up to $ 5 billion. Asustek plans to develop educational robots for children called the Eee boots that uses software based on Google’s Android operating system as part of a project sponsored by the Taiwanese government to promote Android. The goal is to make robots affordable, and can interact with the children.
Asustek will work on the hardware while the software by other parties. Google developed Android for smart phones, although other companies have made Asustek operating system open-source it to expand its products, including mini-laptops and electronic devices of household entertainment. Asustek is one of the largest computer manufacturers in Taiwan and became a pioneer in the notebook industry with its Eee PC. Companies are often using the Eee brand names around for other products, including the Eee Box and Eee keyboard.
EeeBot project will focus on content development and service robot industry to subsidize the cost of other Asustek hardware and make the robot more affordable for families. The technology involved in this project including the Interaction-Human-Robot, namely in the form of sound and visual, as part of the business positioning and navigation company, an added value for the development of industry hardware and software. Asustek expects will only take two years to develop the production of four-year experiment and EeBot process spent NT $ 5 billion.
